3 rules for eating well and staying healthy

That eating well is important to preserve healthy is now a fact though, to reach this conclusion, we took years. To prove most of the recent studies on the subject, to the effect that a diet rich in vegetables and low in animal fat is a real panacea against diseases in the round. Thesis that has deep roots, even in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine, demonstrating that ancient wisdom holds truth to be reconsidered in light of new knowledge. But in fact what it means to eat well? Here are some advice.

1. Have regular meals

The regularity of meals, which should be at least 3 a day, is the first step to a healthy and balanced diet. And is the best way to stay healthy and avoid at the same time gaining weight. Nutrition deconstructed during the hours induces, in fact, the body to preserve the food supply and to quickly store the calories of ingested foods, increasing the sudden feeling hungry.

2. Give priority to a balanced diet

A healthy diet involves a varied diet, which should always be fruits and vegetables in season, dried or fresh legumes and cereals. Better to reduce, however, the consumption of sweets, fried foods and animal foods, especially red meat, cold cuts and sausages, possibly to be replaced with white, lighter, and bluefish. The cheeses, though not advised, should be eaten sparingly, maximum 2-3 times a week. Finally, as regards the dressing, great is the classic extra virgin olive oil.

3. Eat slowly

Eating slowly is, unfortunately, a hard habit to put into practice, as we are taken from the frenetic pace of life too. Yet the benefits of a slow chewing are countless: on the one hand promotes digestion greatly easing the work of the stomach, the other allows you to fully enjoy the food, enjoying it to the hilt. But that's not all: according to the Buddhist monks, eating slowly would be a form of meditation, especially if meals are taken in silence, concentrating on the action in place. Practice that would prove beneficial to the psychological level, causing a reduction in stress and helping to restore a healthier pace of life. Not to mention the reduction of so-called attacks of hunger, which arise especially in those rapidly chews.
