5 seeds that are good for health

In nature, there are many seeds that are good for health. Although small, the seeds are extremely beneficial for the health of the organism: this type of food is, in fact, rich in vegetable fibers, proteins and essential fatty acids, which makes it indicated in the prevention of various diseases. The seeds can be consumed in many different ways: you can, for example, add them to your diet for breakfast with muesli, or for lunch or dinner in salads and many other tasty dishes. Let's find out what are the healthiest seeds for the welfare of our body.

1. Pumpkin seeds 

Pumpkin seeds are indicated for the prevention of cancer: they are, in fact, several scientific studies have come to this conclusion. There are many beneficial properties of pumpkin seeds, but the credit for the fight against cancer is the antioxidants contained in them - especially, of carotenoids - and phytosterols, which are able to help the immune system. Pumpkin seeds also contain omega-3 fatty acids and zinc; nutrients suitable for preventing osteoporosis and arthritis.

2.chia seeds 

The chia seeds are rich in vegetable fiber, antioxidants, protein and calcium. These seeds are able to regulate the level of sugar in the blood and thus reduce the risk of an increase in weight and of contracting cardiovascular diseases. The chia seeds have, then, many other nutritional properties.

3. Sunflower Seeds

Sunflower seeds are great for those with digestive problems, thanks to the vegetable fibers contained in them. In addition, the sunflower seeds are rich in copper, vitamin E, selenium, and folic acid, which makes them an important help for pregnant women and for the prevention of heart disease.

4. Flaxseed

Flax seeds have a high omega 3 content; factor that makes them a major source of employment for vegetarians and vegans: the omega3 are able to protect the body from possible heart problems and, therefore, are indicated in the treatment of diseases such as osteoporosis and hypertension. Flax seeds can be eaten raw.

5. Hemp seeds

Finally, hemp seeds that can be considered a high protein content of food: in fact, an excellent source of protein and contain various amino acids, in addition to the essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6. There are, then, fiber and phytosterols, which make them an excellent aid in preventing some types of cancer, heart disease and diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
