What are the best foods to boost the immune system? With the changes of season and temperature changes ailments are always around the corner. So it is always good to rely on a proper diet and those foods that can help us prevent especially cold and flu. It is especially foods rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, able to give concrete help to our immune system to fight pathogens that come from the outside.

1. Mushrooms 

Mushrooms are rich in selenium, which helps white blood cells produce cytokines. Also they abound of an immunostimulant capable of activating macrophages, granoluciti and monocytes, which, in our body, take care to protect us from infections.

2. Citrus fruits
